Audio Visual equipment is an important element for any event. Equipment can range from presentation visual aids, such as projectors, plasma lcd screens, video walls, 4k hd screens, touch screens to sound components from microphones and speakers providing surround sound.

No matter what type of event you are hosting, the small touches of AV equipment will make an impact. We will discuss with you the scale of your event, and go through the various options with you. We will need to take into consideration how large or small your event will be. If it is a low-key event, having a small PA system to help deliver any speeches or announcements over background music, would be sufficient use of sound equipment.

PA & Sound System Hire


The PA (Public Address) system refers to the relevant microphones, speakers and additional items of equipment which make it possible for the sound of your event to be amplified.
The factors that we take into consideration when putting together a PA system are;

Lighting Hire

Lighting is that it is often the main element of impact in the success of any event. It sets the mood and can enhance the experience of all your guests and delegates. The factors we like to keep in mind when allocating lighting options are:

Control: Sometimes lighting is used to create an ambiance, which means the most basic of control is required. On other occasions we have programmed a lighting display to music requiring professional technical expertise.

Position: Lighting can be accommodated on stands, trussing and ceiling anchor points, it all depends on the venue.

Power: The amount of power required depends on the size of the set-up and is normally only a major factor in larger venues. In smaller venues we often use LED lights as these require less power.

Type of Lighting: There are a range of lights you could use to suit your event. You could have LED Up lighters which are a firm favourite with many conference organisers, venue managers and event planners. They deliver a bright light and are easily concealed. With minimal power consumption.

PLASMA LCD & LED SCREEN HIRE

Plasma screens have become very popular as they represent and convenient method to convey visual information to a captive audience or passing trade. Plasma screens can take a feed from a laptop, DVD and HD screens can accommodate blu-ray.

Often when a location has bright natural light, plasma screens are the medium of choice as they are unaffected by room lighting and deliver excellent picture quality for day-time events. LCD screens tend to be used more as stage monitors for presenters on stage and these are typically 21” – 32”.

When deciding whether to use a projector for your event, there are a few elements we like to keep in mind to ensure it will work effectively. When we set-up a projector for you we check that the image is set perfectly for the screen and we provide the connecting cables from the source; whether that be a laptop, Mac, DVD player etc.
Consider the following:
Ambient light: Every projector is given a Lumen rating which tells you how bright the projector will shine. So, just like a torch in bright sunlight it may have little or no impact.
Resolution: This refers to the number of pixels that make up an image. There are a range of resolutions to choose from, including, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, 720p, 1080p and WUXGA.
Throw distance: This refers to the distance between the screen and the projector. This is normally a factor when this distance is either very short or very long.
Screen: The size of the screen being used or in the case of using a wall,the size of the image you wish to have, also determines the size of the projector required.

Sizes: The easiest guidelines we use in order to determine the correct size to choose is; how many people viewing the screen and what is the purpose of the screen?
